King Hussein Cancer Foundation

Tuesday 18/07/2023, the Jordanian Ministry of Health signed a memorandum of cooperation with ACDIMA BioCenter; one of Arab Company for Pharmaceutical Industries and Medical Appliances (ACDIMA) companies for the purposes of organizing clinical research, attracting research studies locally and internationally, and training health cadres to enable them to engage in clinical studies with high efficiency. The MoU was signed by the Jordanian Minister of Health, H.E. Dr. Firas. Al-Hawari and the Executive Director of ACDIMA, Dr. Rabab Tim, where the ACDIMA is one of the specialized and accredited centers at the local and international levels to conduct studies Clinical according to the highest quality standards followed to conduct clinical studies in countries Advanced. Al-Hawari pointed to the importance of this cooperation in providing treatment opportunities that were not available for some diseases, explaining that the Ministry of Health, under the signed memorandum of cooperation, will establish a specialized unit for clinical studies and medical research in cooperation with the ACDIMA Center, through which patients will be able to benefit from specialized and modern quality treatments for some rare, incurable and chronic diseases, which the approved treatments are no longer effective in their treatment. He pointed out that this cooperation will enhance the enrichment of Health cadres and consolidating the concept of scientific research for them and keeping pace with the work of international institutions in this field and its integration with professional practice.

ندعوكم لحضور اجتماع الجمعية العامة للشركة العربية للصناعات الدوائية والمستلزمات الطبية (أكديما) والتي ستنعقد في تمام الساعة الحادية عشرة صباحاً من يوم الأحد 7 ذو الحجة 1444 ھ الموافق 25 حزيران (يونيو) 2023م، وذلك عبر وسائل الاتصال الالكترونية (عن بُعد) أو في مقرّ الشركة في عمّان بالمملكة الأردنية الهاشمية لمن يرغب بالحضور، حيث سيتم خلال الاجتماع النظر في الموضوعات المُدرجة على جدول الأعمال على النحو التالي:

1- تقرير مجلس الإدارة عن نشاطات الشركة خلال السنة المالية 2022.

2- تقرير مراقب الحسابات عن السنة المالية المنتهية في 31/12/2022.

3- التصديق على الميزانية العمومية كما هي عليه في 31/12/2022.

4- إبراء ذمة السادة رئيس وأعضاء مجلس الإدارة.

5- توصية مجلس الإدارة بعدم صرف مكافأة السادة رئيس وأعضاء مجلس الإدارة.

6- تعيين مراقب حسابات خارجي للشركة للأعوام (2023، 2024 و2025).

ACDIMA coordinated the 4th ISoP Middle East Chapter symposium in Amman.

The ISoP Middle East Chapter held their 5th Pharmacovigilance Workshop in November, a twoday meeting in collaboration with MSSO who provided MedDRA training. Many thanks to all involved for a very successful course

ACDIMA participated and sponsored a 2-day scientific workshop entitled “Pharmacogenomics Testing: Toward Personalized Therapy”, that was organized by the scientific committee at Jordan Pharmacists Association (JPA) and in collaboration with MS Pharma and Middle East Molecular Biology Society (MEMBS). The event ,that had more than 90 pharmacists, included different aspects: presentations from expert speakers representing different Jordanian universities, practical workshop on pharmacologists, and discussions from the audience about this important topic which represents one of the future challenges in the pharmaceutical industry.
